Albatross was established in 1988, when two former Israel Air Force helicopter pilots, Duby Tal & Moni Haramati, decided to combine their two great passions: flight and photography. Today, Albatross is one of the leading companies in Israel in the field if visual communications and aerial photography and has one of the largest and most varied stocks of aerial and ground photographs.
As per the company’s interdisciplinary approach, Albatross also publishes books and produces films, all characterized by creativity and high quality.
Photography
Albatross provides photography services and products, including aerial and ground photography, stills and video, artistic and technical photography. Duby Tal, chief photographer and Albatross’ general director, has held close to twenty solo exhibitions in esteemed galleries and museums around the world; the company has photographed and produced exhibitions for the Foreign Ministry, Tourism Ministry and other large organizations and has also documented some of the larger projects in the Israeli market, including Highway 6 (the trans-Israel highway), Azrieli Center etc.

The Albatross publishing house specializes in all stages involved in producing and publishing commercial photography books as well as custom-made books. Among the many books published by Albatross are the Skyline series and Flights into Biblical Archeaology.

Albatross has produced films for international broadcasting organizations such as National Geographic and PBS and for such companies and projects as Ben-Gurion Airport 2000, Israel Railways and others.

Albatross’ rich image and footage stock is one the largest collections of aerial and ground photographed material of Israel and other parts of the world. The image stock includes over 500,000 still images, and the footage stock includes more than 3,000 hours. Together, the two collections cover the whole of Israel and other parts of the world.
